What beautiful weather!

Hasn't the weather has been amazing! My garden is really going into blossom overdrive with everything showing off and the pots around the garden all trying to outshine one another.

This Sunday starts a new challenge at InternationalArt and Soul and the theme this week is Flowers. So, please show us your treasured flowers so that we all can enjoy your beautiful Creations.  Please join us INTAAS.

I made this card or big tag for a friend for with her birthday in mind. I cut the shape with a Tattered Lace Tag Die and covered it with paper from the Kanban Apricot Dream pad.  I cut and made the flowers with the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Bloom die. The rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the wired large pearl strands are from Anna Marie Designs. The little birthday sentiment tag is by Sue Wilson and underneath all the flowers is the big Cheery Lynn swirl die in gold glitter paper and little leaves from Marianne Dies.  I hope she likes it.

Sadly, a friend of my husbands passed away and I don't usually post sympathy cards to my blog but I'm sure the sentiment can easily be changed to something more appropriate. It's always difficult with what to say at times like these but Ive kept it light with using brown and ivory and a Memory Box poppy.  I generated the sentiment myself and popped it on a Spellbinders label die.

For the Men in Our Lives!

A fortnight has just whizzed by since my last post and so much has happened with my card breaking down and no mobile phone, a fabulous long weekend away with friends and just all the comings and goings of life in general. Next week is happing up to nee the same with a visit to our local RHS garden with friends and lunch and then off to London to meet a lady over from Canada who I hope to meet again in two/three months time actually in Canada.

For the Men in our Lives is the theme for the challenge over on the International Art and Soul Challenge blog (intaas)

It was my grandsons birthday last week and he has celebrated being 19 years old. We are proud as such as he is studying Criminology in a uni in Canada.  This was the card I made for him. The timing was perfect, the challenge and his birthday.

I've used three shades of brown card and cut them with Sue Wilson's Pierced Squares, A & B to give me narrow layers and I embossed the top one with a chevron embossing folder.  The image was a freebie from the company called Design bundles, check them out weekly on the internet.  The ribbon I bought from the Creative Expressions stand at the recent Ally Pally show, lots of different colours for 50p for a couple of metres, bargain!  The dies I've used for the sailing ship I bought from a lady on Facebook, no idea where they came from originally.

If you drop in, please let me know and Ill return the favour,  have a great week!
